GETTING THE FREE KINDLE APP:

 1) Create an account with Amazon.com. 
       You'll need an e-mail adress 
       to do so.

 2) After your account is set-up, 
       log in, and then download the 
       free Amazon Kindle app here:
       https://www.amazon.com/b?node=16571048011

    You can download it to your
       computer or your smartphone.

PUTTING ANY E-BOOK ON KINDLE:
 (The e-book must have a ".mobi" 
  extension at the end before Kindle 
  can read it)

    IMPORTANT NOTE:
       If you already have the Kindle 
       app when you download Part 1, 
       it may ask if you want to open 
       it in Kindle, or you might have 
       to open the file itself first. 

           (You can usually find it 
            in another file called 
            "Downloads", but each 
            device is different.)

       If it does, of course do it, and 
       then you can ignore the 
       following:
       

 1) After downloading the app, go here:
       https://www.amazon.com/myk      

 2) At the top, click on "Devices", and 
       then chose your device.

 3) After chosing your device, click on
       "Preferences".

 4) Scroll down the page until you come
       to "Personal Document Settings",
       and click on it.

 5) At the top, you'll see "Send-to-
       Kindle E-Mail Settings".

 6) Under that, and next to your device, 
       you'll see a "kindle.com" e-mail 
       address. That is the address you 
       will be sending the downloaded 
       file for PART 1.

 7) Under that, you'll see "Personal
       Document Archiving". Make sure
       "Archiving is Enabled".

 8) Under that, you'll see "Approved
       Personal Document E-mail List".

 9) The e-mail address you used to 
       sign up for your Amazon account
       should be listed. If not, click
       on "Add a new approved e-mail 
       address" and add the e-mail 
       address you'll be using to send
       Part 1.

10) Open up your e-mail program, put 
       your kindle.com e-mail adress in
       the "TO" section, put anything 
       you want in the "SUBJECT" line, 
       and then attach the file you 
       downloaded:

 AmyStrange & the Criminal - Part 1.mobi

       (It should be in a file called 
        "Downloads", but each device 
        is different.)

11) Hit "SEND", and after a few 
       minutes, open your Kindle App, 
       and it should be right at the 
       top:

       AmyStrange & the Criminal
          (PART 1: THE ESCAPE)
         A Novel by Dave Ayotte

    IMPORTANT NOTE:
       Before it showed up on my 
       Kindle app, I had to reboot my 
       device a couple times, shut it 
       totally off, and then on again.
       You might have to do the same 
       thing.

12) Once it shows up, start reading.
